Sudoku Pack for Pocket PC
A popular logic game developed in year 2006, for our French client Filao mobile.
Project was to develop the game on several platforms (Windows Mobile Pocket PC, Windows Mobile Smartphone, Symbian UIQ).
Customer provided us with the requirements together with graphics and layouts.
The game included these features:
- algorithm for creating over 4 billion unique Sudoku tables split into four different difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme).
- smart Sudoku table solver, solving any table you enter no matter if it exists in our 4 billion database or not
- save game, high score
- 3 different skins with Hi-res support.
- Ability to input and play your own Sudoku (from newspapers or magazines)
- pencil marks and annotation
- 5 way navigation support.
The biggest challange was to design the algorithm without using database, allowing so big number of grids with minimal resources.
Project duration was 4.5 months (for all three platforms). The game became one of the best selling games on all platforms!
