995 Backgammon for Palm OS
A popular logic game developed in year 2005 for USA client 995Soft. The same year 995Soft was acquired by Filao mobile.
995 BACKGAMMON is the perfect Backgammon game whether you are a beginner or an expert! It has very strong engine, clean, easy-to-use interface, packed with powerful options.
The goal of the project was to improve existing Palm OS application and port the game to Pocket PC and Symbian OS UIQ.
Palm OS improvements included:
- supporting different screen resolutions and operating systems, from Palm OS 3.5 160x160 b/w to latest Palm OS 6.1 VGA 32 bpp color depth.
- introducing computer move animation
The main challenge was porting Artificial intelligence neural network.
Project duration was 6 months for all three platforms.
